Use these standards when preparing a book for Bwenieve Read commercial onboarding, protected reader packaging, and storefront rendering.

## Cover Image

- Recommended cover size: 1600 x 2560 px.
- Recommended ratio: portrait 1:1.6, also expressed as a 5:8 storefront ratio.
- Minimum accepted size: 1000 x 1600 px.
- Maximum accepted dimensions: 7200 px on either side.
- Preferred formats: JPG/JPEG or WEBP.
- Color profile: RGB or sRGB.
- Maximum source cover upload: 10 MB.

## Cover Quality

- Submit the front cover only.
- Do not include the spine, barcode, back cover, price badges, or temporary promotions.
- Title and author name must match the submitted metadata.
- Cover text must remain readable at 160 px thumbnail width.
- Do not stretch small artwork to meet the required dimensions.
- Keep title, author, series, and logo text inside the central safe area: 8% from the left/right edges and 6% from the top/bottom edges.

## Responsive Renditions

Bwenieve Read should prepare optimized WEBP/JPG-compatible renditions for:

- 160 x 256 px thumbnail.
- 320 x 512 px small cover.
- 640 x 1024 px medium cover.
- 800 x 1280 px large cover.
- 1200 x 630 px share card.

## Manuscript Upload

Preferred release-ready formats:

- EPUB: complete book, embedded front cover, complete navigation/table of contents, validated before release.
- PDF: complete book, not password protected, with bookmarks or clear structure for chapter/page detection.

Accepted intake-only formats:

- DOC/DOCX.
- Plain text.

Maximum manuscript upload size: 250 MB.

## Creator Upload Validation

Bwenieve Read production publishing should validate:

- MIME type and file extension.
- Cover dimensions, aspect ratio, file size, and color profile.
- EPUB structure, table of contents, spine order, and embedded cover.
- PDF password protection and page/bookmark structure.
- Checksums for source files and generated protected renditions.
- Rights ownership confirmation before review submission.
- Review approval plus release activation before public publishing.

## Protected Delivery

Source manuscripts must remain private. Only approved catalog covers and optimized thumbnails should be public. Reader content must be delivered through protected chapter/page APIs, controlled unlocks, watermarking, and session protection.
