Bwenieve Play guide
How to make a lip sync music video from a photo
Bwenieve Play turns one photo of an artist and a section of your song into a music video where the artist sings your words. This guide walks you through every step, with tips that make the difference between an average clip and one people share.
What you need
- A clear photo (or short video) of the artist — you must have their permission.
- Your song as an audio file (MP3, WAV or M4A).
- A Bwenieve Wallet with enough balance, or Play credits.
Step by step
- Open Lip Sync and sign in with your Bwenieve account.
- Upload the artist photo. Choose a sharp, front-facing photo with the mouth clearly visible. Confirm you have permission to use it.
- Upload your song and pick the section — 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 seconds. Pick the hook or chorus: it is what people remember.
- Choose the format. 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Direct the performance. Describe the scene and pick camera movement, lighting and performance style.
- Check the price. Play shows the exact price before anything is paid. It is paid from your Play credits first if they cover it, otherwise from your Wallet.
- Generate and download. The money is held while the video is made and only taken for a usable result. Finished videos stay in My Creations.
Choosing the best photo
- Face the camera, or turn slightly — avoid full profile.
- Keep the mouth and lips clearly visible: no microphone, hand or hair in front.
- Use good, even light. A blurry or dark photo gives a blurry video.
- Frame head and shoulders for close-ups; wider shots work better for 16:9.

Making several videos? Play credit packs add bonus credits on bigger packs and are used before your Wallet balance.
Grow it further
- Restyle photo — give the artist a new location, outfit or look, same face. Then lip sync the new photo.
- B-roll — short cinematic clips from a photo, no singing, to cut between lip sync shots.
- Projects — generate 2 to 4 versions of the same section side by side and keep the best.
Questions
Can I use a photo of any artist?
Only with their permission. Play asks you to confirm consent for every generation. Use photos of yourself, artists you manage, or people who have agreed.
Which format should I choose?
9:16 (vertical) for TikTok, Reels and Shorts; 16:9 (landscape) for YouTube and screens. Make one of each from the same section if you post everywhere.
What if the video comes out wrong?
Play checks every result. If it fails, comes back black, far too short or blank, you are not charged — the money or credits are returned automatically.
How long does it take?
Usually a few minutes. You can leave the page; the finished video appears in My Creations and on the Jobs page.
Is there a free trial?
No. Every video is priced upfront and paid from your Wallet or Play credits, so you always know the cost before you generate.
