Bwenieve Platform Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Bwenieve processes personal information when you use any Bwenieve product or service. Product-specific details are described in the applicable product addendum.

We process information you provide to create and use an account, such as your name and email address; usage information (clicks, analytics); and payment information (processed by our payment providers — we do not store full card or M-Pesa credentials).

We use information to provide, operate, improve, and secure our services, to communicate with you, and to comply with legal obligations.

Where a product provides analytics, privacy-safe techniques are used. IP addresses and user agents are hashed rather than stored in raw form where feasible, and bot traffic is filtered.

We use essential cookies for authentication and attribution. See the Cookie Policy for details.

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers necessary to operate the platform (payment processors, hosting, monitoring) and where legally required.

Account data is retained while your account is active. Financial and audit records are retained as legally and accountingly required.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data through the applicable product support routes.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Bwenieve products are not intended for children under 13.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated.

Bwenieve Link Privacy Addendum

Bwenieve Link records privacy-safe analytics for your links (clicks, platforms, countries, devices, QR scans). IP addresses and user agents are hashed, not stored in raw form.

When you use Connect, contact details are shared only with the parties involved in the exchange, according to the privacy settings you configure. Private fields stay hidden from the public card.

Analytics data retention depends on your plan (7 days to 24 months).

Bwenieve Production Limited, registered in Kenya, operates Bwenieve Link and is responsible for processing its customer data.

These details were confirmed by the owner and have not been independently registry-verified.

Where you separately allow advertising measurement, Bwenieve Link uses the Meta Pixel on eligible pages to measure page views, genuine new-account registrations, and verified positive-value subscription payments, including renewals. Meta may receive event information and browser or device information associated with the eligible visit.

Bwenieve Link does not intentionally include names, email addresses, telephone numbers, authentication tokens, full payment credentials, or content from customer public Bio or Music pages in Pixel event parameters. Meta Pixel is excluded from administrative, editor and preview pages, customer public Bio and Music pages, and other Bwenieve products.

  • The first-party campaign-attribution cookie is retained for 30 days.
  • The application implements a 90-day eligibility boundary for raw attribution sessions and touches. Automated deletion is not yet operational: the cleanup runner is dry-run by default and still requires reviewed scheduling and explicit apply-mode enablement. Until that operational step is approved, existing raw records may remain stored beyond 90 days.
  • Each campaign-attribution and advertising choice is retained for 180 days, unless changed earlier. An undated legacy choice is not renewed silently.
  • Eligible new-registration advertising evidence is retained for no more than 24 hours.
  • PageView suppression lasts for the current browser session.
  • Browser conversion-deduplication markers are retained for 30 days.
  • Advertising conversions that occur before advertising consent, or while it is denied or expired, are discarded rather than retained for later replay.

Meta controls information after receiving a consented event under the terms applicable to its service. Meta's applicable retention period remains pending account-specific review.

You may ask Bwenieve Production Limited to provide access to, correct, or delete personal data, or object to or withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent. Contact info@bwenieve.com.

If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first so we can investigate. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner through its official complaint service.

Bwenieve's owner has confirmed that Meta Platforms Ireland Limited is the contracting entity for the Meta advertising dataset, that information received through the Meta Pixel may be processed primarily in Ireland and the United States, and that the applicable Meta Business Tools Terms and Data Processing Terms incorporate Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. These account-specific facts have not been independently verified. The complete processing locations, onward transfers, safeguards and Meta retention terms also remain subject to independent review. Kenyan data-protection requirements require an applicable lawful transfer basis and appropriate safeguards or another permitted basis for transfers outside Kenya; this notice does not claim that account-specific compliance has been independently established. Meta advertising tracking remains disabled unless and until it is explicitly enabled in production configuration.
